Switzerland is a role model when it comes to water protection. Almost all lakes and rivers have drinking water quality.

To ensure that this remains the case, only wastewater that has undergone extensive treatment is returned to Lake Zurich.
Sludge treatment is one step in the wastewater treatment process.
To make this part of the process efficient, the Küsnacht-Erlenbach-Zumikon WWTP uses dosing technology from Alltech in the “model state” of Baden-Württemberg.
Specifically, a CONTINUFLOC treatment system for liquid polymer and a dosing station for viscous media have been in use since May 2023.
And there is already a follow-up project. At the beginning of 2024, Alltech will deliver another polymer processing system for liquid concentrate with a dosing station, which will be used in the ARA.
